I am an artist and photographer who specializes in portraits, head shots and projects for individuals and businesses who want colorful and crisp images. I am most interested in working for people who want compelling portraits, head shots and photographs that capture the unique beauty of a person as they are at the moment. Biography I studied cooking at the French Culinary Institute and painting at the Art Students League, before receiving my BFA and MFA from Hunter College in New York City. I have lived in Thailand and Israel and studied in London at the Slade School of Art. While traveling in India I fell in love with the way light is filtered through pattern. Photography has always been a part of my artistic process. I formally studied lighting and portraiture at the International Center of Photography before launching my own photographic studio on the upper east side in New York City. I have the soul of an artist and the technical skills of a photographer--so making portraits that reveal the subjects inner and outer beauty will always be my passion. ____________________________________________________ Because of my cooking experience working for Ina Garten in East Hampton, New York and at Le Bernardin in New York City, I am also drawn to food photography as a way to connect my love of food and cooking with my passion for the process of creating images.
